Living Frontiers Pageant

Another crew barbecue...

Thrown back in time by our client Flux Event Design and Production (Beijing Handover, St Pancras Station, Battleship Potemkin etc.), TESS undertook the task of ensuring the Health and Safety of Roman Soldiers, Viking warriors, Royalists and Time Bandits alike during ‘The Living Pageant of Hadrian’s Wall’. Thankfully this was a re-enactment and performed under 2009 regulation so the canons and fireworks went off little collateral damage.

Mounted warriors, temporary structures and burning boats was all in a day’s work.  Developing a COSHH assessment for the use of woad proved slightly more challenging.  Still, providing the Health and Safety management across many centuries is a challenge that the TESS is team is well prepared for – some of our more experienced staff may well have drafted their first Risk Assessments in advance of the original conflict!
