U2 360 Tour

The U2 360 Tour has not only broken all records and superlatives for Rock and Roll touring; it actually works!  TESS’ involvement in this epic project has seen us working with designers from Mark Fisher Studios through test construction with StageCo to a month of rehearsals in Barcelona and onto the road.  Under the complete command of Jake Berry the whole shebang has glided throughout Europe and across the pond to the USA.

Millions will witness the spectacle of the ultimate touring stage – but few will have the privilege of seeing how it was created.  We take our (hard) hats off to the boys and girls who build it day in and day out.  Only you know how great your own achievement is.

TESS also give a shout of thanks to Dave Wilkie, our own man on the tour bus, who had the unenviable task of monitoring H&S and working practices by the hundreds of touring and local crew.

TESS Director Simon James explains: “Input at the design and planning phase means the health and safety of crew and public are considered well before steel is cut or barriers deployed.  Our work with Fisher Studios, StageCo and others helped ensure the show can be installed, operated and dismantled without undue risk.”

TESS have established a great working relationship over the years with Jake Berry (on Rolling Stones and previous U2 shows) and this one will see the fruition of a collaborative approach to safety issues right across the board from band to suppliers, production and promoters.
