What do you get if you put 30 DJs, 90 technicians and 660 dance fans in 30 capsules on the EDF Energy London Eye? Answer: Red Bull's Revolutions in Sound.

This latest event continues TESS's association with innovision and Red Bull with an intriguing exercise in safety logistics. The 'eye' was operating as normal right up to the start of the technical installation. A team of 3 technicians installed the first DJ's sound system into the capsule as soon as the last of the days visitors to London's iconic big wheel finish their ride.

Over the next 30 minutes (the time it takes to complete a revolution) this was repeated for each of the remaining 29 capsules. In total 90 technicians completed the fit. When the first capsule got back to the loading level, the sound system was up and running, the DJ doing what they do best and 22 lucky ticket winners entered the capsule for a hour of music from their chosen DJ - and so on until the wheel is a full dance venue.

Fifteen hundred of those who did not get a capsule ticket tuned into the DJ of their choice on special headsets in a silent disco close by.

The safety issues of this unique event included the continued public operation of the attraction during the technical installation, the requirement to keep the riverside Queen's Walk open to the public, the loss of Jubilee Gardens which was closed for renovation and of course the technical load in and load out from 30 moving venues – all with an absolute deadline – once it has started this wheel does not stop for anyone.
