Rihanna World Tour

Having completed the US leg of her world tour, Rihanna starts the European leg in Belfast. Jim Davey went there for TESS to help ensure that their risk assessments were suitable and sufficient  and that their systems of work were safe.

The tour is a wild zig-zag around Europe and Scandanavia and includes three separate visits to the UK. The schedule will expose the touring teams to a variety of European safety cultures.

The Production Manager, Joe Sanchez, asked Jim to brief the mainly US crew on the way we do safety on this side of the pond. The briefings seem to have gone down well, "Jim hit the right note with the crew." Says Sanchez. "It can be difficult briefing professional foreign touring crews,  says Davey, "It is a matter of acknowledging their expertise and experience while explaining the cultural and legal differences".
