Work at Height training

TESS can offer a Work at Height training course that will help people cover the fundamentals of becoming a competent person under the Work at Height regulations.
The course is a classroom-based training course and is not intended to train people in rigging techniques.
Topics covered include:
- Understanding your legal duties under the Work at Height regulations.
- Understanding the principles of fall protection from the Work at Height regulations.
- How to deal with the hazards associated with the task allocated to you.
- Understanding the need for - and the ability to check the adequacy of - the safety equipment allocated to you.
- Understanding of the correct procedure for storage, maintenance and inspection.
- Understanding what safe work procedures require and how to write them down in a comprehensible manner.
- How to write rescue plans and implement them.
This course can be tailored to suit different organisations’ requirements and will help them show that they have undertaken training under the Work at Height regulations.
